Re-visiting one of the Paris Metro's finer abandoned stations
Four years, one week and two days ago four hopeful but reckless adventurers jumped off a Paris Metro station platform and ran flat out down the tunnel, arriving in the end here at Croix Rouge. At that time, and still now, this abandoned underground railway station remains one of my favourites. It was probably the first I ever saw from a train, face smeared up against the window, an act that would eventually cause a little irritation for my girlfriend at the time. Why, she would ask, did I always seem more interested in what was going on out there in the tunnels than I did in talking to her?

Tme flies and a lot has happened since then but tonight really summed up for me why I'm still doing this. Three good friends, some fine quality beer and a killer location. Sitting off, watching the trains go by, no pressure, just shooting a few snaps before going home to watch a film. This is my last post for the year, so thanks to everyone who helped make it the best one yet. Happy New Year, and as always, be sure to make the next one count.
